The Richard H. Marshak International Lecturer Award is presented to a member of the SGR who will represent the Society at the International Education Conference held annually in a country that cannot support education in the field of Gastrointestinal Radiology. This award is in honor of Dr. Richard H. Marshak, a founding member and the first president of the Society for his spirit of lectureship and dedication to the SGR. An annual contribution of $4,000 is received from the Marshak Fund in support of this award.

2010 Richard H. Marshak International Lecturer Award Recipient

The SGR announces that Sat Somers, MB ChB of McMaster University as the2010 recipient of the Richard H. Marshak International Lecturer Award. Dr. Somers will participate as a faculty member of the 2010 SGR International Education Conference Team.
