For over ten years, the SGR has sponsored a collaborative educational program with colleagues from central and South America. This program, the International Educational Conference, sponsors the expenses of an SGR faculty team as they attend and participate in a national or regional radiological conference.

Over the years, our faculty teams have traveled to Guatemala, Peru, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Over 45 different SGR members have participated as faculty members in this program. They have returned from their SGR-sponsored international educational travel energized and inspired by the intellectual and cultural exchange. In 2010, the SGR faculty traveled away from central and south America to South Africa.
